Twenty minutes gone, 1-1, Jordan Clarke has just scored a brilliant equalizing goal.

That's true. Danny Rose has just hit the post. The captain and centre half Stones looks particularly impressive. That'll means the lad's bound to make a mistake now!!Lol

Have we got any big lads though, we seem to always get small, nippy lads, maybe with some skill, but they never grow enough and we end up with a team of midgets, that can play nice football, until the opponents strat to get physical, then we always struggle.
From what I have been hearing these lads now can play, but can they also compete at a physical level too. Hope so!!!

Stones certainly appears to have the physique, as does the goalie. Liverpool have just made it 2-1 on the stroke of half time. There doesn't appear to be much difference, if any at all, in the ability levels of the two teams. Just my opinion.

Good, hope that this are the bunch that finally come through and we have 5 or 6 in the first tem squad on match days.

Roy Evans and Gary Gillespie are singing Barnsley's praises. To me, the most important aspect in this stage of their development is ability on the ball. Muscle and strength can always be built up later. Rose and Clarke fall into this category. I think they've looked the most skillful lads on the pitch.

Is Digby playing? Was impressed with his brief appearances in pre-season, and he looked to be quite a big lad

I really have not got a clue what that means matey, what are mvp?

Rooney is only 5ft 9 in, maybe, but he is not 7 stone wet through, he is a strong build, our lads are the same height and skinny buggers.
I think we need a balance between the little ones and some big ones, but we need both sets to be skillful as well.

Final score 2-2, with Barnsley equalising in the last second. Didn't catch the name of the lad who scored, but he was a second half substitute.
Thoroughly deserved, in my opinion, as Barnsley matched Liverpool all the way. Well done lads and Ronnie Branson, too.

has John Stones been converted to centre half this season?

I watched him once last season (Sheff Weds) and he looked a very useful right back,, tall and lean in physique and very quick. I just wondered if he has played at CH before or are they trying him there this season?
