as a self confessed 'happy clapper' I post this message in support of the good Dr Z.

A tad surprised to see the witch hunt re the good Dr Z. Have never had any problems with his messages - the guy knows his football cares passionately about BFC and is a valuable contributor to this site.

Of course as a 'happy clapper' I disagree with some of his points but ffs I'm not so immature that I have to complain about him.

Dr Z - keep posting mate!

Yeh I've just been reading. Pretty ironic how the 'happy clappers' make threads about those of us who are unhappy with things everytime we get a half decent result yet we're the ones clogging up the forum with our views.

Dr Z seems a genuine, honest chap and certainly not up his own backside, unlike some others on here... Never offensive, just a wee bit repetitive at times.

Maybe the rose tinted glasses wearers (your not supposed to call them happy clappers they don't like it) are agents of the tribe of preedy and have been given a mission to silence criticism of the club.
That's a joke by the way don't ban me for it.
Unless of course it's true then I'll be banned anyway.

I like "happy clapper" actually (and I think I am one). :D It's just that people use it so liberally these days...

I think we need one high-profile poster to come out of the closet, and many others will follow.

I've disagreed with the Doc on many occasions and a few months ago the endlessly repetitive messages were a bit much but now he is engaging again properly I can't see much wrong with his attitude.

I do find the whole 'he said she said' thing mundane on both sides. I have a three year old for that. And we I say have I mean own not 'have' and when I say own mean the fruit of my loins not some some of slave (just so I don't get reported to admin...)

The Doctor was a bit of a bellend towards me on here, a good six months ago. But having since met him, and spent many a matchday with him since then, I can confirm that he's a sound bloke. Generous, witty, self-deprecating, ugly, sound. I like him. And he's not been a bellend on here towards me since. Because it's funny how clever folk are online but then aren't so clever after meeting you. Bit easier to give someone you don't know a bit of personal chelp online, not so easy when they're a yard in front of you and liable to bite your nose off.

I don't believe he was banned fairly last time, and said as much. I'd be disappointed if he's banned again. Yes the repetition will annoy folk, but other than that I don't see what he's done to warrant such stick. And as pointed out already, he has a season ticket, he goes away occasionally (we endured Donny and Rochdale together) so it's not like we're talking about a whingebag who never attends but criticises anyway.

However, it's not my forum, I don't run it, I don't pay for its upkeep and don't make the rules. And the bloke that does, Gally, he's another good bloke who I've a lot of time for.

    You Reds and stuff.

I'll be extremely pissed off if he is banned as the only thing making this forum not enjoyable are the people who are baiting him. Not since he returned from his ban has he hijacked a thread or repeated himself without someone asking him his opinion first. I believe he stated in the first place because he (wrongly) believed it would be funny but as soon as he was shown otherwise by Gally he stopped. Even today he has received a thinly veiled threat of another banning despite not doing what he has been accused of whatsoever. I think the people winding him up could do with some bans of their own now as they are repeating themselves fully as much as he did.

Seems a decent Barnsley fan the doctor . I wouldn't ban anybody unless they have been blatantly abusive

I must say I find DocZ as tedious as anyone. However he has had some balance to his posts of late. In person I get on well with him and find him a decent bloke. If there is a campaign in DocZ Baiting, then maybe that is trolling? I'm not sure I've seen too much to ban him in the last few months. In fact it makes a travesty of the whole forum if he has been asked to leave while others remain.

Hmm. I'm actually supporting "the good Dr Z" here, he sounds like a decent bloke (even if he has his moments...) and hasn't been too naughty since the little ban, but let's not turn him into some BBS Jesus either... :D
