Great news. He's the voice of Oakwell.
On a side note, whatever happened to Steve Pearson? I remember he couldnt pronounce "substitute" properly. Great commentator though

Very disappointed after re-subscribing as a result of the new "no interruptions" policy. On one occasion Burton had a shot, then we heard the score from Hillsborough, then we heard that Davies had saved it. Must have been a very feeble shot.

I was as gutted as you. Wasted several hours of my week preparing for a game I couldn't work on. It's best not to make advance promises considering how unreliable away isdn lines/points can be.

No blame attached to you at all, nor to Whitey if he's reading. Just very disappointing after looking forward to it so much.

I totally agree. It's a shame that we couldn't deliver. I was there an hour before kick off trying to get it sorted. I think we need to be more ruthless with opposition clubs who can't provide the technology needed to broadcast. The fact that it seldom happens to established media outlets in radio & tv makes me very suspicious, I know there's nothing wrong with our isdn equipment as I tested it at Oakwell yesterday. Apologies that we couldn't provide the comms though.

Steve left Oakwell about 10 years ago, he still broadcasts on both football and the one with the weird shaped ball though. Rugby is it?

Yes indeed. I don't expect you to comment, but I did think it was "funny" that the Radio Sheffield commentary came through load and clear without a hitch, but yours was not possible for "technical reasons". Still, not a bad result!
