Yes, for me. I was disappointed with the performance, to be honest, and from what I saw Burton deserved the win. They look a good team.
watched most of it...started brightly, perhaps should have taken the lead, but seemed to stop going forward. Take the point, 29 required now
weird innit how people see the game differently. i thought we created the better chances personally, until the sub. switching to 4-5-1 ended any chance of us getting the win. still, clean sheet innit
Game of two halves as they say...thought we played well and should have been 2 up at half time , Burton dominated the 2nd half and could have got 2 or 3 ....point gained in hindsight.
After dropping two points last week, nice to gain a point away from home, 2 consecutive away clean sheets and two very winnable home games after the break
As a ready critic of our own team, I thought we looked sharper than them, in that we play, with Kent and Armstrong especially, an attack which gambles on them beating their man with pace/skill. In other words, counter attack. Whereas Burton with O'Grady were attritional. If your tricky fast forward players deliver, then you're in clover. Today it looked like it might work in the first half. The second half was a different story.
http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37808749 They had more possession, twice as many shots, five times as many shots on target and three times more corners so I'd say we should be delighted with a point and another clean sheet.
Definitely. We've seen some wonderful, free flowing, exciting, attacking, winning football at times this season. Today was more like a game of attrition, where our skillful & creative players couldn't really make their presence felt. It showed that we can get stuck in and grind out a point when not at our best. The lads dug out a draw at a venue where a number of clubs (Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City, Derby County, Birmingham City) have already come unstuck during the current campaign. We've picked up yet another clean sheet and, hopefully, we'll have more of our squad available for selection after the international break.
Yes. Back four had a tough afternoon but defended well against a pretty experienced Burton attack. Had Jackson as my MOTM but can see why Davies would get the plaudits.
Point won for me. Armstrong should have scored first half or set up Winnall but Burton will feel unlucky not to have been 2 up early 2nd half. They dealt with Ryan Kent, waiting for him to cut inside and taking the ball off him several times. Adam Davies had a great game. I thought we could have kept possession better in the 2nd half when they were pressing. Scowen helped to stop them over-running us in midfield later on as Armstrong was a bit isolated at times but Burton are a good side and a clean sheet and a point was great. It shows we can dig in when it matters. Small stadium but modern and friendly and easy to get to - plus they have standing which is even better. Burton are doing fantastically well to be a real force in the Championship and good luck to them. Great away support and big applause for the players at the end.
Most definitely. Everyone could sense we were clinging on in the second half. Have to be happy with a point. Incidentally, I thought O'Grady led the line magnificently for them. Still the battering ram he was for us. Undue abuse from the away crowd too. Poor form that from our fans.
Thank you for your lovely comment, Jeanette. Please accept this virtual bunch of flowers as a sign of my appreciation. <img src ="http://www.chisinauflowers.com/images/P/FR1061.jpg">
4-5-1 won us a point we were getting an absolute hammering. Brilliant management from Hecky. Massive credit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
