First wedding anniversary treat. What a great city. If you do visit then go walk down by the harbour and also visit the Tididabo up on the mountains for an amazing view. I would also advise to use the top on top off right seeing city bus as well as buy a t10 metro ticket that gives you ten journeys for under ten euros. Also visit the best food market ever and eat tapas on on of the stalls. Don't eat on the Ramblas but do walk down it and go off the side streets but keep your wits about you as there are pick pocket gangs. Regards Alan Whicker.
Thanks for that Alan. Strange how you can visit Barcelona whithout any mention of visiting the Camp Nou. Can't believe you passed up the chance of spoiling your good wife by not taking her on a trip of a lifetime. She will never forgive you.
I took in a game last year and also the sightseeing tour bus goes past the Nou Camp. We both agree from the outside it lools like a council multi story carpark.
Did you do the Museum and Trophy Room tour? That is really something to see. Not a good as the Tannadice Trophy room but getting there.
Nah mate. The souvenir shop is about as big as the Alhambra in town. It's a stadium that is more impressive from the inside than the outside and does not look like it holds 90000+ spectators. Very deceptive.
Awesome inside mate. Unfortunately there was no game on when I visited. Apparently they are to be increasing capacity and roofing the whole lot. Unfortunately this might just put Tannadice and Oakwell down the rankings in the list of The Top Football Arenas.
I enjoyed Barcelona when I went in August. I was allowed to keep my top on during the sightseeing bus tour thank goodness! The metro was absolutely fantastic, I'm not the bravest when it comes to exploring but this allowed us to go all over with no worry (we got a 3 day one rather than the T10 as we used it way more than 10 times).
"Hop on hop off" Dawn you predictive text. But it was a bit nippy in the early evening so I advise to stay dressed and dignified.
