What on earth has the football league done? Ridiculously low crowds Top flight under23 teams allowed in Stupid format Football is dying
Killed it mate, and I wouldn't be surprised if it went straight back to last season's format after this. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
I think there was a committee of people who worked on the idea. I'm not sure of the exact make up of the committee, but apparently it included Donald Trump's hairdresser, Jeremy Hunt's diplomacy consultant, Nigel Farage's political correctness coach and the designer of the Stairfoot roundabout. The only positive is that we will go down as the last proper winners of it.
supporters have boycotted the competition can't blame em they introduce the u23s to the competition but let players like Charlie adam and wes brown play in the 23s..... I enjoyed getting to Wembley but if we were in it this season I wouldn't go to a game and wouldn't go to Wembley just to make a stand. Would be funny if 2 u23 sides got to Wembley though.
Someone last year posted to a link to a blog which summed it up perfectly - when they pointed out they could live with the Prem clubs pocketing all the cash , stealing all the players etc etc. But the last straw was when they came for the only competition that was left for the lesser clubs and were going to use that for themselves and stuff the fans. I had a quick look but cant find it Well the fans are voting with their feet and well done to them - the FL have ruined a good competition - and for what? will the powers learn though - course not they dont care as long as the big clubs keep pretending the FA actually have some influence in the game
It just shows how out of touch, selfish and bad at money management quite a lot of owners and chairmen are
