Apologies for being absent for the last few hours, but I came home from work early feeling dog rough and been in bed for a couple of hours.

Anyway currently the total stands at £732 and there's my contribution of £20 and another from a poster who hasn't got paypal (not in my bank yet so I don't know how much).

2 regular posters have kindly offered to make up the shortfall and one of them has rightly suggested that we get on with it and order the flag and that I should choose the design. I've gone for this one. It was a difficult choice, we've obviously got some talented arty people on here.

Nice one mate, the flag design looks mint and I'm sure it will in real life too.

Well done for organising it and there's been a fantastic response from designers, donators and general contributors. I'm sure Patrick will love it.

Right, I'm ready to get this thing ordered now. I've asked NeilStatedArt for a higher resolution image, if available, and I need the details of the chosen supplier. Once I have those I'll get it on order and keep you updated on here.

Thanks to all those who contributed, financially and in terms of the flag design, and thanks to Brush and Lepton Red for organising and supporting this project.

    Well done everyone!

Really pleased you've gone for a joint Preedy/Cryne one :) Just wondering as that was the first version of that flag, did you see the most up-to-date one (same flag just a more central, bigger badge). It's the same one just looks slightly more 'finished' to me.

    This:

No problems of course if you did and prefer the first one, I'm really grateful to you for taking this on and organising it.

You can say no if you wish brush but may I suggest using the image create by Neil which has the dash in it rather than a comma. The OCD in me is getting annoyed that the comma goes onto the white part.

Haha, same here and that the badge isn't quite central (but it's the comma that really irks me). I'm hoping that Brush meant that general flag design but I'll respect whichever he chooses as we wouldn't have anything if he hadn't started the ball rolling.

Well pleased with that, can't wait to see it.

Thanks to Brush for driving this forward, to Stahlrost and Lepton Red for so generously agreeing to underwrite it, and to Neil, Cunning Stunt and everyone else involved in the design process.

Just wanted to say well done to all involved in this. Makes me proud. That final design of Neil's looks so good. I look forward to getting that on camera in the near future. You Reds.

Oooooooops, thanks for your correction and that of Archey below. I'll check with Brush but I have to agree the later version is better.

And OCD is a great quality for a proof reader!

Update, and good news! I've tried to order the flag, and the price has gone down from £1036 to 86p. I'll pocket the rest of the donations myself and have a good curry night with it. I've now got the correct final artwork although I've asked Neil for a higher resolution version if available.

Seriously, it seems the ordering system can't cope with a price over £1000, so I'm stuck until Monday morning as there's nobody there now for the weekend. They have however confirmed that the flag will be ready for the Forest match on 23rd November. That's not a mistake, just a bit of insurance.

I think the badge is in the centre, it's the fact that the first part of the phrase is a letter shorter than the 2nd part.

I meant it's nearer the top of the flag not that it's off to one side ;)
