    It's all coming out now:

"He's one of our own" (Wilder)
    "The Blades are going up"

Etc, etc. To be fair they are wiping the floor with Danny's team. It's 4-1 now and he might be on his way out soon, unless they stick with him.

Well it's great to see them succeeding against some fantastic teams after being so successful over the last 6 years...

Remind me how long it took us to achieve what they're trying to do..

Best thing we ever did was get rid of Wilson many won't admit it but his football was terrible here 2nd time round. I've watched all this game and can't believe how negitivite chesterfield have been all game. Especially when he has players like Jay o shea, ched and ariyibi at his disposal who are good players at league one level surley chesterfield will get rid.

The thing is that they are nailed on certainties to go up, at least in Sheffield. The rest of the country will have other ideas.

How funny it will be with all of this optimism for them to fail yet again. I just can't imagine how they will cope.

Bradford, Bolton and Scunny just might stay ahead of them. Oh the tragedy, if that happens :D

It's not going well for him and it may be that his day is done. Time to pick up a punditry job somewhere I think.

I'd love to see them lose in the play-off final again

They'll win the league, at a canter. They've got 26 goals in their last 7 games, he's got them playing now.

I wouldn't take anything from that performance chesterfield were terrible. Test will come when they play the teams at the top wouldn't bet against them to be in the top 2 come end of the season. But let's face it they should be budget they have and it's took em 6 seasons to start playing.

I hope they get promoted. Them, Bradford and Rochdale please. Local trips. More money. More spice to them etc.

Been playing some poor teams in that time: Leyton Orient, Grimsby, Chesterfield etc. Some good teams at the top of League One like S****horpe so it won't be easy

They also dispatched promotion rivals Port Vale 4-0, and didn't they have about 4 disallowed or something crazy? and they drew at Bradford in that run. When Scunny have run out of steam at Xmas them and Bradford will occupy the automatic spots.

Well we'll have to see. Scunny look the real deal though. Since they played us and drew 0-0 they've been in ridiculously good form

They won't keep battering teams all season, it's impossible for any team

Tougher season as local matches are played with more intensity and more competition for many of the same kinda players whilst at the moment we have upper hand in an higher league. Keep them all where they are or at least Blunts and Bolton.

Your points up until Scunny running out of steam are spot on.
Sheff United will be up there at the end of the season but so will Scunny.
Graham Alexander is a fantastic manager and will be in the Championship in a few years, with or without Scunny.

He was the wrong appointment in the first place in my opinion. I still think Micky Mellon would have been a better option at the time.

We'll never know for sure of course.

However I'm still firmly of the opinion that we wouldn't be a midtable Championship team now had we not got relegated that season. I feel we'd be in a much worse position.

Me too. I can get over not having another South Yorkshire derby if it means they languish in league one. I can't stand them so the longer they struggle the better.
