Im at Tannadice tonight

At a celebration evening remembering us defeating Barcelona in the Fairs Cup 50 years ago.
A couple of players who played are in attendance and a video of the game is to be played throughout.
Unfortunately my father did not take me to this historic game.
Looking around it is bringing back proud memories to a few of the more senior fans.

And our club also went on to best Barcelona again almost 20 years later giving a superb record against them of P4 W4

 

It's just about 50 years ago that Celtic won the European Cup, The Scottish League, The Scottish F.A. Cup, The Scottish League Cup, and the Glasgow Cup.
They only lost 2 games in that season one at Celtic park and one at Tannadice both against Dundee United in the League.

You are absolutely right in what you say Colliers. It was 1967.
Hopefully the club will see fit to have another social evening to commemorate this achievement because we struggle to win a corner against them these days.
