    I would like to thank fellow fans who have sent me best wishes over the last couple of weeks. It has been amazing and humbling to receive such positive sentiments.

    I have been somewhat neglectful about my health in the past, ignoring good advice from my family and friends. With the benefit of hindsight, I strongly advocate everyone to participate fully in cancer screening programmes to the fullest extent. Discovery of the disease early makes a full recovery more than likely.

    I know that some of my fellow fans are suffering from this terrible disease also, and I send my best wishes to them for a speedy recovery.

    I remain totally a custodian of our football club. I am confident that our present management team will keep us on the course we have set. Thank you for showing your loyalty to the Reds. Your support has been the bedrock of our recent successes.

    I missed some of this. Does anyone know if it has been made public what form of the 'big C' Patrick is suffering from? Two friends of mine both in full remission after treatment, one had a very agressive cancer but, as I say after extensive chemo and radio therapy has been given the all-clear.
