Hammill and Bradshaw should've been on from at least 60-65 mins. They were there for the taking but we won practically nothing from the many good crosses we put in. Bradshaw or Marley are really the only players who can work with those kind of crosses and neither were there in the middle to be at the end of them.

Obviously I know nowt but for me our best side has Hammill in from the start and Marly up top with AN Other.
Time for Hecky to forgive and forget as far as Adam is concerned.

I was about to post the same. It's not the first time that we've left it far too long to make a change.

Like you say, Bradshaw and Hammill should've been on much earlier. We looked flat throughout the game, and Kent was poor. Starting to feel sorry for the lack of opportunity Bradshaw is receiving.

Agree Substitutions were the right ones just way too late.

Subs should have been made twenty minutes earlier and I don't agree with him that we dominated from start to finish. I thought it was a poor match to league one standard, boring and lacked decent chances.

Thankfully we don't have games like today very often and whilst another clean sheet is great, goals are starting to dry up which is a worry.

Goals will dry up if we cannot get around sides and instead start moving the ball so slowly that they have easily got back in position.

For me Hammill should have been on for Kent at half time.

Got to agree, Wigan came for a point packing the 18 yard area with bodies only sending players forward for set plays.

I think he needs to rethink the midfield play. We play the ball out to the wings all the time with little attacking play in the middle. Teams know this and so can double or treble up on the wingers. Knowing that a cross is coming in the defenders can then outnumber our attackers in the penalty box. We won maybe half a dozen headers in the box all game and that was our main way of trying to score.

Both Hourihane and Scowan play as holding midfielders. They don't drive through midfield like other teams do. Scowan did it once in the first half, slowed down looking lost and got tackled. Hourihane was dropping back into defence even in the last ten minutes.

I think we should vary the attacking options in midfield by playing Hourihane further forward and letting him shoot when the chances come. Otherwise teams will know that we'll mainly be attacking down the flanks and just crowd the wingers out and outnumber the forwards in the box.
