We failed to break down a poor wigan side, we often struggle against teams who turn up for a draw if we had got one today a few would have followed like Rotherham.
Their player should have walked in the first half for that challenge on scowern. A win is really needed now so we don't get dragged in to a scrap. Nice touch for patrick on the 80th minute same again on Friday in front of the sky cameras.

Absolutely. Wigan today were one of the worst sides at Oakwell in my time. At any level. It's a concern to me that we can't break these teams down. Nobody played bad, and another clean sheet, but we've got to find the key, especially at home.

I thought we played well enough in controlling the game, especially 2nd half, but we really need some muscle up front at the moment, just to give us the option of going more direct if needed.

I think a couple could have been described as poor.

Our problem was that we thought if we kept knocking it square we'd somehow get a goal.

I thought hecky could have brought hammill on for winnall moving watkins up top to give us abit of muscle as sam and adam armstrong are abit light weight especially in the air. But then again ryan Kent needed to come off.

Agree. We try to be too precise at times and by the time we've worked the ball wide they've got everyone behind the ball.

I'm probably in a minority but I think Watkins is more effective playing wide

I think you probley are in the minority and you are entitled to your opinion. But I think up top him and ssw especially have a good understanding and play well together. That said he did have a good game today.

Carrying Ryan Kent as a passenger probably didn't help. I thought we lacked any kind of spark in a dull game. Substitutions were to late to impact the game.

    Who, out of interest?
Winnall wasn't brill, and needs a bench break, but not sure he was poor. Kent maybe?
    Interested to know

I thought Scowen was very poor second half.

Houriane for one. And I love him.

    And yes, Kent.

It's not the 1st time we have carried ryan Kent though. At burton he was garbage especially 2nd half I've brought the subject up a few times and been blasted for it on here. Hammill has to replace him me against Forest and this clause where he has to start so many games is ridiculous imo.

But at least we are creating chances, we really just need to be clinical. Winnall's header in the first half being a key example

There is no clause where Kent has to play games that an urban myth. There's a clause that says we have to contribute more to his wages if he doesn't
