It seems like this has been brought up again & again since we chanced our transfer policy, but I think a lot of us can see that this is an option that would be very useful at times.

Of course I'm not having a dig at anyone or anything. This is not a 'We're not good enough we need to be fixed' post just an observation of where we could improve. So many times from a Free-Kick, Corner or Giant Throw we have no one who can really provide a threat and attack the ball or we have 2 short lightweight strikers that get rendered ineffectual at times by physical CB's.

Omar Bogle the name being churned out again along with someone like Matt Smith or John Akinde.

No chance of Matt Smith or John Akinde coming in. Wouldn't be surprised about Omar Bogle but rumours suggests we've already looked at him.

Was going to say Stefan Payne may well fit that bill. He looked a real handful in August and has clearly had an unlucky break (quite literally). I'd argue for him to be given a go before investing in an Omar Bogle or the like.

Agree about Payne. I've been boring people with it for weeks, but I think he's been a big miss for us since he was injured.

Yes, we've won some games without him in the squad, but there have been many times like today when we could have done with something different, be it starting or coming off the bench.

Payne must be close to a return now. He looked good before his injury so hopefully he'll provide that extra option up front.

Bogle is not the sort of big target man that some on here think that we need.he would actually be better playing up with a target man.
