In the aftermath of the Millwall game at Wembley. We were treated to the usual lip-service about investigations and whatever, but was either club charged? Have any Barnsley fans who were sat in the section that was attacked received an apology from either Millwall FC or the FA? Have the FA said what measures they'll be taking to stop such scenes from occurring again?

I don't think the FA should be allowed to get away with this, they sat a tiny number of Barnsley fans in close proximity to a large Millwall contingent without any proper security, and they did it solely so it'd look better on TV. Clubs regularly face charges of failing to control their fans when violence happens at their grounds, since this happened on the FA's patch they should take their share of the blame. Six months on and I've heard nothing, I don't think a few letters to our local MPs would be amiss.

It all seems to have gone very quiet doesn't it?

Our own club haven't exactly been vocal in the media at telling us what they are doing if they are doing anything.

My brother wrote to both the FA and the Met. He did get a reply from the match commander that basically said it was everyone's fault but theirs. He never heard a word from the FA.

What do expect an mp to do? They are some of the weakest, most out of touch members of society.
Wembley could have been dealt with within the week. Like most things in this country it comes down to 2 factors for me, weak authority and vested interest

I'd love to know whether the steward, who will be forever known as "the wall" ever got the praise he deserved for single handedly holding back dozens of cockney villains.

Barnsley FC don't seem to have represented their fans sufficiently on this issue either. Two blocks of supporters had their enjoyment of an expensive day out ruined and the authorities are being allowed to sweep it under the carpet. It's a poor do if you ask me.

I wrote to the Club (BFC) suggesting some sort of recognition for that steward! I am still waiting for an acknowledgement never mind any kind of reply!
