I wonder if we are in for him as a loan signing in january, with only seven appearances in the prem and he's not getting a run of games. If I was hecky I would be enquiring about him. It would benefit West Ham and us significantly if we got him firing in the championship. Your thoughts... #TeamsLikeBarnsley
Not a chance. No way will West Ham loan someone out who is getting game time in the Prem, or least warming their bench.
Agreed. Unless they sign 1 or 2 strikers in January. Which they may well do. In which case if Fletcher becomes 5 or 6 choice he strikes me as the kind of player who wants games. 6 months in the championship, score plenty of goals, then go back to West Ham to challenge for 1st team starts next season.
You say only 7 appearances, but even Fletch is surprised at the amount of game time he's getting. West Ham are a bit thin on the ground in terms of attacking options so it will be down to whether they sign a striker or two in January. They had £20 million aside for one in the summer and didn't sign one. Leeds are supposedly still sniffing round Fletcher too. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
Unless WH are desperate I can only see 1 outcome. Weve the best rep with this of sort of thing under Hecky and co.
Obviously it would be immense, but I can't see it. If he's getting bench and game time, I can't see them letting him go out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't think they will to be honest, he's a solid squad player for them, on the bench more often than not. Then there's the question - what message does that send to our strikers? We've got some top laikers, plus Payne has proven himself to be a massive threat and will give us even more options when he returns. If anything I'd be looking to re-evaluate our wingers, the pace is there but the final product has got worse.
