    25 years ago today that he sadly left us.

    The 24 minute set at Live Aid in 85 possibly the greatest concert performance ever.

    fantastic performer and musician,deffo one of a kind.Sad what happened to him,no one deserves a death sentence like that.

    The saddest thing is that had he got ill only a few years later, he'd more than likely still be here today.

    That was as close to perfection in the circumstances as it was possible to get.
    Great talent, great showman, great loss to music

    They were a band I grew up with - one of my earliest memories on Top of the Pops was them singing 7 seas of Rye - and who of my generation can possibly forget the months that Bohemian Rhapsody - probably the first real pop video - spent in the UK charts
