Gave the ref a reason. Still there were 2 much worse against Winnall in recent games and the guy who took scowen out last game but no just touch someone and it's a red if you play for us
it was paper thin, but yes it looked like a stamp and marley cant have any excuses. look we've blown this tonight but the season doesnt end or start here.... lets hope we dont feel sorry for ourselves and go on another run of losses.
If he's getting sent off for a stamp he may as well go for it full on instead of just tapping him. Stupid and ended any (little) chance we had at that stage.
Didn't say it wasn't. He's given the ref the decision. But it wasn't a stamp was it? If anything, you could argue it was worse. A petulant little flick that he didn't see through. Three games off for him, I hope we do well and he struggles to get back in the side. Worryingly I imagine we won't do so great and that he'll walk back in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I didn't see it but as I said in an earlier post, the Forest player got away with 2 or 3 possible yellows in the first half then got one for going through the back of Marley. First time one of our players does anything, he's off. It's always the same.
It might have been weak as pi55 but the ref saw it so it's difficult to argue with the red. To say he'll be suspended for as long as he would have been had he properly stamp on him is frustrating to say the least.
Just seen it on Sky Barely worth a yellow never mind a red card. Poor decision. Harsh penalty as well, Hourahane's last week was a far stronger shout than that.
Re: Just seen it on Sky Still stupid by Marley to give the ref the opportunity to send him off though.
It's a red card all day long. Stupid thing to do and he deserves whatever punishment he gets. Marley Watkins is my favourite player. He's a machine. He never puts a foot wrong, works his bag off and for me, is the first name on the teansheet regardless of the position he plays in. But nobody can excuse that, whether it was soft or not. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
It was a daft thing to do. Squaring off to someone earlier in the match may have still been in the ref's memory too.
Deserved red card, earlier in the game he squared up to a player trying to look big and hard. Needs to calm down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nobody has mentioned what made him do it? The forest player had two niggly taps at Marleys boll0cks with his right foot while under him. Marley should have been cynical and gone down holding his sack, instead he was tempted to retaliate and even though it wasn't a full stamp he did enough to prompt the ref. He didn't accidentally stand on him either. Whatever you want to call it, it was intentional, and worthy of a red card. It's the action that got him sent off, not the severity. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
