Asking for everyone's tickets in the right gangway of the ponty last night nearest the dimensions box. Bet folk who payed on day were thinking what's this all about. But yet in the forest end flares were set off, could see the forest fans hammering the back of the stand suprised the sponsor boards didn't fall off and even brought a silly red flash light in and the stewards in the away end did..... nothing

The club cant win. They've had vandalsim and complaints a plenty from that area of the ground and people complain that they are making sure fans sit in their allocated seat in order to help with the problem.

Yeah but asking young kids under the age of 11 who are with their dad's? I took my daughter last night who is 9 if she started smashing a seat up at kick off last night she could be still there now trying and it would still be in one peice. Asking old blokes too I don't like the little seat smashers either not condoning it at all, but abit of common sense wouldn't go a miss.

I don't see why it hurts to ask someone to show a ticket. Just get it out of your pocket, pass it over and 3 seconds later alls done.

Why do the club staff and stewards have to have some common sense, but some of the fans don't?

That's why you are asked to be in your seat half hour before KO.

If that area of morons behaved in the first place then there'd be no need to show tickets. It's full of chavs & Jeremy Kyles

Obviously it's tempting to sit in the freezing cold with little or no entertainment for half an hour..

They aren't though pal - all they do is ask to look at your ticket - then send you on your way. It achieves nothing. It is the most pointless of exercises. It just creates resentment and grief by holding people back on the steps.

What they should be doing is going up to the top corner where vandalism has occurred to check those seats v tickets.

Agreed instead of bothering people who have no intention of causing bother.

True, there's several old boys sit near us - got proper hassled last few games - I've yet to see them throw a pyro or smash a seat up.

I wouldn't say a steward taking up five seconds of the time of someone to check a ticket should be classed as bothering people.

Like already said what does it achive? All they do is look at the tickets how do they think people get in abysaled. To sort the problem the stewards need to be placed in the problem areas.
