A good player thought he left us too early.

Do you think we'd benefit from his being with us now?

He's a mid table League 1 player. Left us too early as I rated him but compare him to the best central midfielders of his type in that league and he's just not quite good enough to get into one of the top sides playing at that level.

I'd probably say no. league 1 might be his level. But with training, development and experience who knows? People might have thought the same about Marley Watkins when we signed him.

I don't think he had the pace to cut it in this league. It seems he might well have worked out for himself where his level is, and that's why he went back to it.

Not sure why you pick out Marley. Hadn't he just scored a goal in a Scottish cup final or summat?

I remember thinking it seemed a bit weird that he'd signed for us when he seemed to have "kudos" in Scotland.

Was Luke Berry ever deployed correctly? We seemed to play him out on the wing or in front of the back 4.

We'll never properly know how good he was as I don't think we ever saw him in his correct position.

I liked Luke and thought we'd sold him prematurely when we did but, as others have said, I'm not sure he'll become a championship player.

You can pick any of our team. Signing someone from anyone other than Celtic Is like signing someone from League 2. Look at Roberts no pace mid 20s no experience. Other than last night he's acquitted himself well in the championship with some decent training and development.

I really like Berry and couldn't believe it when we let him go.

Roberts does have enough pace - he's not obviously slow. You can't teach a footballer pace. Roberts has done brilliantly IMO - he was majestic against Millwall at Wembley.

The rest of the top league in Scotland is not all league 2 either.

Some we get, develop. Some don't. With Berry I don't think there was much further to go. Nor did he, seemingly.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion. You may be wrong you may be right we will never know.

Do you go to many Scottish games?

No. I sit in the comfort of my home and often watch the games on tv.

I think Luke might benefit from a transfer to the Scottish Championship.

    But not ours.

I occasionally go when I'm in Scotland the standard is universally poor. Kane Hemmings demonstrates the standard of a very good player in Scotland

As I said earlier I don't think Luke would make it in the Championship but I thought the same of several others.

A very weak player who also lacked pace

Luke berry is playing in league 2, it's a big step up from league 2 to league 1 but the championship no chance. And roberts has no pace? Last season he was the fastest player in the squad in league one. If we were to put luke berry in center midfield in the championship we really would be up against it rather have Mary berry.

I think Berry was unlucky as we signed him, Hourihane and Bailey all at the same time and didn't seem to be able to work out which two played well together.

Roberts is really fast. He's probably our fastest player. He's quicker than Lukaku
