Does anyone else think that it's just not right as a spectator sport?

Yer know - seeing a woman being bashed up.

Goes against your instincts somehow. Doesn't seem "entertainment".

    Maybe its just me.

I think it'd great women box professionally like men do. Equal rights and all that. It's bad you don't seem to have an issue with males inflicting eachother with damage.

No, me too. I just don't like seeing women fighting in any capacity. I don't like men fighting on the streets but as a controlled sport with rules and regulations then I do like men's Boxing.

You should try watching UFC mate if you think Boxing is a barbaric sport.

They would be no good watching Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 on December 30th. Can't wait to see her win back her title.

Bit weird innit, a group of blokes debating what they think is and isn't acceptable for a woman to do.

Nothing wrong with it. I think it's a weird sport in general but as each other agree to being hit then it's up to them isn't it? No idea why you would say it's ok for men but not women though.

Doesn't bother me. I'm pretty used to seeing women fight anyway. Anyone that's queued for a taxi after a night round tarn will be used to it

Ultimate fighting championship mate. Mixed Martial arts. Just knock lumps out of each other. You might have heard Conor Mcgregor around, he's their most public figure to be fair.

    Re: Not just women's boxing

Actually my post about banning boxing is a bit tongue in cheek, I don't massively object to it, I don't watch it myself. What I object to the huge amounts of money involved in it and to the corruption attached to it. Same goes for horse racing and other sports like competitive cycling (although that seems to have cleaned it's act up lately). But I think the one thing I dislike about sport in general is gambling. Particularly the advertising we are bombarded with on Sky.

Check out clips of fights on You Tube etc of Conor Mcgregor and Ronda Rousey as those two are probably the biggest names male and female in the business.

Exactly. Boxing is like a infants school yard scrap in comparison to UFC. Totally awful 'sport' and no idea how it is allowed to be so mainstream.
