He's not & has never been our player.

Drink some coffee and support our own?

That may be true, but what's wrong with wishing a lad, who scored 2 goals for us at Wembley lest we forget, the best of luck in what's a big opportunity for him tonight.

Fair enough. I'm just sick of people going on about getting him back. It clearly ain't gonna happen.

I think its sad that there is a falling out on here over this.
Ashley Fletcher was loaned to us - whilst he was with us he fully committed to us and was a great asset.

He benefitted us greatly and in a win win deal West Ham got a much better player back.

He is now good enough to play in the Prem - there is no way he is coming back to us or any Championship side, but I and many others still have a soft spot for him and look out to see how he is doing, I want him to do well. I certainly don't want him to do so badly they want to loan him out again, Glad he scored yesterday even if it wasnt enough to beat Man U

I really hope he goes right to the top. One of the best loanees we've ever had. Why anyone would not wish him well is beyond me

West Ham didn't get him back.
Man Utd got him back and sold him to WHAM UTD.

I don't think there is a falling out, I recanted on my comments.
First time I saw him play (away at Bradford), I commented his first touch was top flight. A bit back we had all sorts of threads about getting him back & that's what gets me. We can take young players & they can help us & we can give them game time & coaching of a very high standard. In reality the only ones we'll keep in the long run are ones that are only up to the level we are at. I'm much prouder of players that have either come through our academy, like Stones, or have signed for us, but then moved on like Mawson, as both have been our player & have committed to sign for us & we have profited from their moves. Kent looks at the minute that he won't cut it in the Premiership & he is the sort of player we might be able to sign, but he may come good during the loan spell & end up at a bigger club as a result.

    C'est la vie.
