"We had a great time at Barnsley. I know he's getting plenty of stick but people don't know the half of it"

Dad will always protect his lad. But it would be nice, if given the departure of Linton too, we get some kind of clarify with what's gone off behind the scenes. Right now it does hang like a cloud over what is so far a brilliant season.

McDonald, Roberts, Watkins, Scowen - still some absolute great lads playing their heart outs for our club. Plenty to be proud of, plenty to cheer. Those lads deserve it. **** any that don't want to be here. It's why I love our team. Keep your premiership. If one day we go up great. It's more important to me to have people worth our shirt. Those 4 boys empitomise it for me. As do others. But I would cheer proudly those lads if they were the only ones left standing come February.

Feckin' dyslexia - I was getting all excited then, thought the title was Winnall's dead!

So with winnall and linton both leaving are we to assume there is some connection?

What are you saying, that Linton IS Winnall's Dad. This week just gets stranger! :)

There are times when transparency and clarity are needed and with the conflicting messages surrounding the last couple of days I believe this is one of those times.

What an odd statement for him to come out with. It would be better if he'd said nothing at all than an half arsed couple of sentences that's just going to cause more speculation.

'people don't know half of it' it's a bit like when Pete Doyle said 'theres a story to be told' it's irrelevant now and confined to history, we need to move on. Oh and yes he has had plenty of stick. A move to any other club would have been water off a ducks back for Barnsley fans in general but moving to the club that we all despise is going to get him plenty of stick, in big quantities.....every single time he faces us.

Forcing the move and making it clear he wanted out, putting pressure on the club to accept a low bid also makes him look like a pathetic person IMO

Being photographed signing on the day of a club legends funeral...thats the standout for me. We all knew he was off (and i dont blame him) but just a little intelligence and respect wouldnt have gone a miss.

Surely he could have said to his agent and wendsday can we wait until rimmos fuenreal is over sign on after the day Friday or Saturday before the game. The way he has conducted himself makes him look like a complete ****er in my book. He thinks he has had some stick he may get some more on April 1st. The way he thanked his agent and put a tweet about getting swfc back to the premiership before even a mention of bfc was **** too. Someone had to prompt him to put something then he gave us a scripted message

And as I understand it it was him who leaked the photo on the day of the funeral too

He's not going to come out and say "my son's a bit of a lovely person" though, is he?

To leave us for any club on the day of rimmos funeral would have left a sour taste but to leave for our most hated rivals is taking the piss.

They're not my most hated rival, I'm completely indifferent to them. Now Sheff Utd?
