So how many championship clubs do you think are currently receiving them?

Wigan stop recieving them this season I know that. Maybe hard times for them if they drop.

As do reading who could be in trouble if they don't go up.

The list I get from working through all the clubs is this

    Ends this season:
    Reading
    Wigan

    Ends next season (17/18)
    Fulham
    Cardiff
    norwich

    Ends in 2 seasons (18/19)
    newcastle
    Aston villa
    QPR

But they get their payouts at the end of the season so there actually more clubs who have gotten them in the close season just gone

I think those sound right reading don't seem too bothered they have just signed a defender from Liverpool for 3.7 million

Oh aye I'd forgotten about Reafing and Cardiff. Did QPR get relegated last season? I thought it was the year before.

It was but they used to get payments for 4 years and Be the only 3 so QPR are the past of the 4 year gang (hull and Burnley were the others and both went back up). Norwich lose a year because they got relegated straight away so only get 2 years instead of 3

It shouldn't be able to be used to sign players with, but don't know how they would control that. It should be used to pay for contract off players already signed to the club who are on premiership wages.

By now anyone signing a player should have some kind of clause for if the team gets relegated their wage drops to a more manageable level for the championship and lessen the need for such high parachute payments
