Has there been a statement from the club as to why he left and the steps being taken to recruit his replacement?
There was an immediate statement stating he'd left. For me, the why is irrelevant. It doesn't change anything. Its a vital position for us, and a bad appointment would do us great damage. It may be difficult in the short term, but I'd rather they took their time and ensured the person they appoint can fulfil the duties required.
The "why" may be wholly relevant, and change everything, if something has gone badly wrong which resulted in his departure.
let Maurice Watkins stick with it in the short term until this poxy window closes then have a chillax, regroup with the right personel and move forward, any good business is built on solid foundations................... baby steps
But not relevant to us. we may be nosey and curious, but telling us details of what went on behind the scenes would most likely add further disruption and create a sideshow when our focus and priority is trying to retain our best players, getting best price for them and getting new blood in to the club.
Well it seems relevant to us if contracts or other matters have been mishandled such that players' comings and goings are affected. I think we should be told, to quote Private Eye.
