Too many rumours at the minute to keep in touch with them all!!!
Too many people jumping on every word read and slagging players and club without facts.
This is not a post with this intention, please though can everyone take a step back. To start with can someone at the club step forward and let the fans know who has control of the club at the minute. The uncertainty with the CEO leaving is not helping.
I personally would like someone to just explain the current situation. I'm aware that possible employment action may be the reason for the current position and silence but even this being explained would help.
Can someone take control over rumours and explain our strategy without giving too much away to potential suitors for players too.
My fear is players rumoured will go late in the transfer window without a chance to bring in replacements or we are forced to panic buy which normally means paying over the odds for substandard talent and away from the successful current recruitment policy.
The recruitment policy recently has been first class hence all the interest and the magical previous 12 months.
The current silence is the most worrying factor. The manager is the only person we've heard from and unfortunately some of the comments we've had regarding staff possibly coming in e.g. Morsel have fallen by the way which must be frustrating to Hecky as if he's been told something's in the pipeline and they keep failing, the CEO goes and all the rumours do we match his own ambitions?!!!!
Please just a bit of openness could quell the rumour mill.
My greatest hope though is we're working efficiently in the wings with things ongoing ready for fruition with a magical day of resigned contracts and a sprinkling of new magic in a couple of signings to freshen the playing staff.
Please say it's so, or at least say something........... please!

Maurice Watkins with support from his law firm are covering the situation. This has been commented on by Hecky already.

How much time do you want the club to spend quelling or confirming rumours. And you do realise that for them to tell the fans whats going on, they are telling everyone, as its an open communication.

Perhaps that may be a little more damaging and could cause even more problems for us than keeping quiet council and dealing with things how they need to.

Its been quite a time since rumours of deals for Bree, Hourihane and Roberts were first mentioned and they are still here.

Let's hold our nerve and see what materialises. Us worrying isn't going to make a player stay, or encourage a player to join, is it?

I would think they'll be some clarity in tomorrows Chronicle.

Undoubtedly a victim of our own success. Rumours are just that until someone goes. Clearly losing the guy supposed to be dealing with this stuff is a problem and there's a bit of strain put on everyone else in the set-up, but Rome isn't burning.....far from it.
