Ive been critical of him many times this season. No end product, giving ball away cheaply and I was shocked he started before hammill but that control turn and finish yesterday was something else. Well done hope it gives him confidence to push on now.

Dead ball delivery was superb at times as well. I thought he was woeful when he came on at Fulham last week, but to be fair the circumstances weren't easy for him. Still very raw, but there is definitely something to work with there.

I'd agree. Yesterday I thought he was the weak link as I have many times this season but second half played well and visibly grew up confidence after the goal. He's a young lad with room to develop. I hope he proves me completely wrong.

Not even taking the goal into account, I thought yesterday was his best game for us.

Was exceptional after his goal and pretty dire before.

If he could cross properly he probably wouldn't be playing for us though.

So many have said before that he was lacking in confidence. After being yanked off at HT (deservedly) at Forest, he could be forgiven for feeling pretty low. A couple of sub appearances have brought a bit of touch back but last week he was criticised heavily on here for being ineffective and looking for the easy pass. Well, he's criticised when he runs with the ball, then criticised when he doesn't. I happen to think that playing 'the easy ball' is what players need to do when they are trying to play themselves back into form. Regardless, as has been said many times by many people, form is temporary and class is permanent. I also believe that class players generally find form in the big games while others often wilt under the pressure. Kent had several class moments last night....and we should very definitely not be wanting to 'send him back' to Liverpool as many have recently suggested. We've come so far in 12 months. Wind the clock back to last January and imagine having a player of his pedigree in the squad and saying you don't see what he brings to the party. Ludicrous!

    He's Magic

    Ryan Kent he's magic
    He wears a magic hat
And when our Hecky saw him
    He says I'm having that

    He plays for Liverpool
Even though he's not a scouse
But that means nowt cos while your here
His mates are robbing your house.

I thought he looked sharp and direct at Fulham, no criticism from me.
