Good old Neil. Might be a leeds fan at heart but will always have "Red" in his surname Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
He was giving that interview from Leeds' point of view but was honest to praise his former employers for a great performance. I can't help thinking that there must be room for him somewhere in the Oakwell hierarchy. Perhaps Hecky would feel threatened by his legendary status but he shouldn't. I'm not suggesting I want him as manager, but he should be in the building somewhere.
I once drove down past the ground in the promotion season and he was walking past the West Stand. I looked at him and he glanced up at me, clenched his fist and said "C'mon!" I nearly crashed the car.
Couldn't agree more. By far my favourite Red. Free kicks corners, penalties, box to box, headers, long range goals, penalty box goals, tackling, determination, influence. He had the lot (bar a bit more pace).
Good summary of the match, barring no mention of the penalty, but it was a Leeds interview. Like the bloke. Not sure where he'd fit in at Oakwell at the moment. One of the 10 best players I've seen in a Barnsley shirt.
Good player for us, topped up with promo into prem and being made captain. Certainly not the greatest player I've seen down at Well and to openly not cheer for just one team against us in our own backyard ( understandably one his boyhood team ) but two teams nah. Hell always be welcome to oakwell imo and have a special place in my memories and the clubs history. But to be an ambassador or legend ? not for me.

It bugs me hearing his biased Leeds comments but thats his job I suppose (despite how badly they treat him as manager).
