Did anyone get caught up in that?

I couldn't see what was happening, but there was plenty of our lot milling about on the corner of the old school.

I saw a handful of Barnsley fans unnecessarily hitting a couple of Leeds fans and throwing a traffic cone at them as they walked unassumingly towards the car park just outside the West Stand. I made sure my 14 year old daughter was well out of the way and moved on. Bullies, nothing more nothing less.

SYP decided to put two mounted officers in the middle of the road and then just let the Leeds and Barnsley fans mix so obviously it kicked off with a couple, while about 20 of them stood at the top of the hill guarding the road that goes to the Metrodome.

Didnt SYP pen the Leeds fans in for 30 minutes after the match like they did the Barnsley fans at Chesterfield? No escort either?

It was Barnsley fans that ran on the pitch at their fans in the Lower East, coppers didn't seem to make many arrests from it. For a change they were watching the away fans

There's a video in a thread below. It's clear that a bunch of numpties jumped over the advertising boards in the east lower and ran towards the Leeds fans. It was only then that loads of Leeds fans started running across the front of the stand to join in.

There were about 6 Leeds fans in the East stand lower at the gangway 7 end.
They started celebrating after the first goal as they moved to the stewards at the front for protection. Only at that point did Barnsley fans react.
Basically Barnsley fans battered the Leeds lads who then ran to the North stand. That is why so many Leeds fans then started to run towards the Barnsley end.

they used to put up a board at the end of a local derby just before the away car park so fans couldnt reach or see each other

why have they stoped doing that? its must be cheaper

The problem being now SYP will probably enforce all local derbies at Oakwell to be a 12.15pm kick off, which usually makes for a sterile, rubbish non-event type atmosphere. The noise inside oakwell was great last night, helped I think by a later kick off time, under the lights etc.

Walked up Grove Street and saw a bit of a scuffle. Then overheard one group of 'grown fecking men' chuckling to themselves with one saying 'I gave him a right crack, did you see' (laughing)

I was with my son, who's 15 and happens to be 6ft 2". So think on when your giving someone a right crack. Your probably hitting someone's kid.
