Following Winnall's departure he was one lad I had thought about but he hasn't hit ground running this year, no championship experience to my knowledge, and almost 30years old so wouldn't fit our model.

I hear on Radio Dee Dar to sign for Sheffield United today apparently. Big unit with a good goal record in L1. Good signing to help promotion push!

Not the best goalscorer good for about 12 a season. Average at League One level.

Would prefer somebody a lot younger if we were gonna bring in a target man from League 1 or 2 so he can develop and is not set in his ways.

Will be a top signing for Sheff United though.

Remember him getting slagged off to death last season on Bradford forum and he was scoring at the time as well.

i think you have kind of summed up why not really.

He's not universally loved by my City supporting mates. Detested by my cousin, loved for his loyalty by others. At his age, he needs a change of scenery to finish his career on a high, but I think promotion from L1 may be the pinnacle of his success. He's too comfortable at City, though as mentioned, he is good for 10 - 15 goals a season.

For 'our model' ....... I'd prefer a Waring or Fletcher type; young and hungry (as well as being quite good) as opposed to looking for one last career move.

    Good luck to him.

Perfect signing for Sheff Utd just to give them that extra option in their promotion push, especially as Leon Clarke as proved to be a waste of a wage. He's not the type of player we would be looking at though, decent League One player at best and will never cut it in the Championship. I'm sure Sheff Utd will get rid if they do come up this year.

Leon Clarke is a waste of a shirt anyway. Dunno why he keeps getting a wage. Would've liked Hanson a few year ago. He wouldve thrived under Heckys tutorship. Shame how some promising players drop off if they have a poor coaching staff
