City's majority shareholder Steve Lansdown has issued the following statement.

I hate losing football matches and, like every City fan, take no pleasure in having lost the last eight league games.

There is no point in feeling sorry for ourselves. What we need to do is pull together, be stronger and work harder. That is what I intend to do and I expect everyone associated with the club to do the same.

Look at the progress we have made:

Our infrastructure is so much better now, as illustrated by our recent recruitment and the clear pathway we have established for our Academy players to follow and force their way into the first team.

We have a good squad, which we will continue to look to invest in, with the ability to entertain us and climb up the league.

The stadium speaks for itself with improved facilities and atmosphere, but we continue with our work to develop the training ground and Academy facilities.

I have no intention of seeing this wasted.

Every supporter and their opinion is valuable and respected. It is understandable that you are unhappy at the moment and frustrated by recent events.

What I would ask you to do is channel that frustration into raucous support of the club, its management and players in order to turn things around.

    Steve

I'd have him back as our new chief exec... plenty of patter like mr mansford and seems to charm the pants off players to get his man e.g. Mawson, brownhill etc

I think you could be right. They could drop into the relegation slots next week.

well Bristol's fixtures till the end of Feb aint gonna help him at all

    Sheff Weds H
    Rotherham H
    Derby A
    Leeds A
    Fulham H
    Newcastle A
    Villa A

I can really only see them getting any points against Rotherham... as for the rest...no chance... He will be gone well before the end of Feb.

He only needs to sign Hammill and he'll be fine. Season turned around.

Burnley in the cup Saturday and then Pig Wednesday... tough couple of games to end the month. Then Rotherham who are starting to show some fight (hoping not so much Saturday) but would be mildly satisfying to see Pigs and Millers get one over on LJ.

I quite liked him when he was here, even though results were bad awful the performances and morale around the club were pretty good...
A few tweaks by Hecky soon turned it around.

Once thing as mentioned previous you cannot deny is that the lad has charm and managed to win over players during transfer negotiations e.g. Mawson and Brownhill. As mentioned above I seriously think he has a future as a Chief Exec or similar.

I see hes played 2 up top for a few games. Possibly tapping into what helped turn his fortunes around with us, also possibly his last chance to halt the slide and save his job?

Good job he has Tammy Abraham scoring goals. Seems there is not much else of note there.

He's got Tomlin but sounds like they've had a fall out.

They seem more bothered about their half-arsed stadium redevelopment

Yeah they get a hard on about the stadium. I keep reading on their forum how it'll be the "best in league one" next season
