I've not previously bought into the "hate Radio Sheffield" thing. I like Football Heaven, and I like a couple (if not all) of their reporters. However, I do think they are playing a huge role knowingly or otherwise in disrupting the stability of BFC at the moment. Take the Winnall sale, Has anyone actually confirmed the agreed price? I haven't seen an official line on it. I don't think Radio Sheffield has either. Yet they triumphantly, night after night announce £500k. Yet all over Twitter, Facebook and from sources at the club, a fee of £2 million is quoted. Feels like they are happily using the smallest possible fee mentioned as gospel - a £500k price to whip up a bit of tension. They were bending over backwards to suggest Hourihane was following on to Hillsborough, Jonathan Buchan tweeted a £1 million offer when Hecksy said there hadn't been any. And all this when Villa have always been the front runners. Again, seemingly desparate to create tension. Now, on a day that there are rumours galore about Wednesday players, Jaoa to Wigan, Nuhiu on his way, Forestieri unsettled again, they pick one rumour, no more credible than any of the others, and zoom in on it. Our local radio station appears to be taking great delight in sensationalising things that may or may not be happening at our club, when there are news stories elsewhere.
And don't get me started on the ethics of Steve Bruce all but announcing the arrival of two of our players on the eve of a match that BOTH were playing in.
I agree. They're complete cnuts. I mentioned that on a thread on here last week. There's been no mention of any other clubs outgoings or our incomings. They must have hated last season.
And radio Sheffield are fighting back because of the grief. They got over that. They have set out to undermine and unsettle our players
Unless they are piling a load of money into BFC, I would ban them from our stadium, along with that cxxt Billy Big Bolxxxxx Bruce.
The BBC do what they want, with impunity: 1) They knew about Jimmy Savile's love of dead bodies and small children but did nothing. 2) They cannot believe anyone would not want their services, and write threatening letter after threatening letter. The aggressive language they use would make some people ill. 3) They tweet whatever they like about our footballers. Their arrogance is only matched by that of the Catholic Church. Do not give them a ******* single, tarnished penny: I don't.
In the last 6 months of a players contract managers of other clubs can specifically discuss transfers.
No, they can't. It's strange how often you see this being misunderstood, because the rules have been the same for years. A player can agree a pre-contract deal with a club outside their domestic league structure. So Conor could talk to Celtic, Rangers or Barcelona, but he definitely cannot speak to Villa, Man Utd or Fleetwood. And so like the previous poster says, Bruce was bang out of order going public with it. Designed purely to put pressure on BFC to respond.
