Elder v Adomah was always an uneven contest

Elder off, Yiadom to left back, Jones to right back.

Seems like a good plan to me and should have been the starting pair

 

Elder is a good player though

 

Yids stayed at RB, Jones at LB.

Jones did well, much more solid on the left after he came on.

Yids was absolutely awesome again. Two superb performances from the international star in four days, one at LB and one at RB. Even connoisseurs of the overlap can't fail to have been impressed, this lad overlaps and cuts in, both with end product. Oh and he can defend superbly too.

Some of the quick short pass interplay between Yids, Marley (magnificent) and James (sublime) down the right in the second half near us was breathtaking.

 

Fair play to Hecky for recognising that Adomah was getting the better of Elder and making the change whilst it was still effectual.

Ah thanks for correcting me. I was concerned at the start knowing that Elder was going to struggle so fair play to Jones for making a better job of it. Let's hope those two can stay fit for the rest of the season.
