That was a blatant handball today.

They cant wait to give them the other way. Dont know what we have to do to get them. Marleys was almost not given at villa.

From memory I think weve only had 2 or 3 this season and how many have gone against us that werent pens.

Might have been a different game had we gone one up. We battered em first 25/30 mins. Then we seemed tonlose out way a little. I think mowatt should have been on sooner. Moncur did nothing second half.

But not too disappointed all in all. Weve put in some big shifts and i thought we just ran out of energy tbh. Lack of movement second half.

But onto the next game. Its far from over like some people are saying.

To be fair to the ref, it should have been his assistant who gave it, he had a perfect view, I'm not sure the ref could have seen it, or who's hand it hit. It was a nailed on pen.

If he thought it hit the attackers hand?

Though the attackers hand yesterday had a glove on it to be fair.

I thought that the referee was probably correct to not give it after seeing it on C5 last night. Yes, it hit the defenders upper arm, but Bradshaw was incredibly cute about it, and lifted the bloke's arm up the meet the ball, and didn't quite get away with it.

The penalty shout at the other end was an superb decision as well - I thought that was a pen, and it took me a couple of slow mows on the telly to see that it wasn't.

One of the better refs we have had this season imo.

I've just watched it again and there is definite ball to hand movement with the defenders arm coming up and knocking the ball out of play. I completely disagree that Bradshaw is controlling his arm because that would take a lot of strength. His hand was right near the shoulder area, for him to be pulling his entire arm up would take some amazing skill. Besides if that is what the referee and/or linesman saw and decided then why didn't they award a free kick against Bradshaw?

I thought the ref had a shocker as they all do these days. He allowed knockaert to be in his ear from the first minute to the last which is the sign of a poor poor referee. A warning early on and a caution soon after would show who is in charge of the game, sadly it appeared that knockaert was. Why do piss poor referees allow this to happen so regularly?

Looking at the ball, arm in completely unnatural position, arm moves towards ball. As intentional as you will ever see

Is it just me who thought the announcer said 'replacing Anthony Cockart is...' when one of their players was down giving himself an old rub a dub dub with legs akimbo for a good few mins?

The first goal yesterday was crucial. I agree Mowatt should have been on earlier, to leave it to little more than ten minutes for the subs to turn round a two goal deficit was a big ask. There were time particularly in the first half when we simply challenged for the ball and disposessed Brighton. To get within two metres of your opponent and simply back off as he approaches our Penalty area allowing him to get closer isn't defending, it's delaying the pass.

The defenders arm is not in an unnatural position though is it? Defender is trying to take the ball on his shoulder/chest area (that's why his arm is raised) when Bradshaw gives his arm a nudge. Lino would not have seen Bradshaws action so the call is down to the ref who didn't give it. I would have been unhappy had it been given against us. Must say I shouted pen at the time but having seen the slowmo the ref got it right. Same at other end, I thought theirs was a deffo pen, until I saw the slomo. Looks like 2 to the ref then.

Have you seen the replay? He literally doesn't touch him. He goes to tackle, pulls out and Baldock falls over. Seriously, look at the highlights.

As for ours, suggestion that Bradshaw pushed him and his momentum took his arm into the ball. Not convinced.

Moncur was our best player and my man of the match. He, alongside two others, turned up today.

Mowatt looked as though he was up for it when he came on and will be quality for us when he gets a run of games.

But yeh, to back up the whole point, I think we've had more decisions against us this season than we have for us!
