I've stopped reading threads, I can't take anymore. It seems most are sensible enough but Jesus, the reaction to losing one game from others. Really? When was the last time we had 49 points from 33 games in the second tier? Wouldn't mind but some of it is from folk who weren't even at the game, or even ever go to games. With the performances and results this team are churning out, we can expect to lose now and again, and defeat against a good side, when they all put a proper shift in but just fall a little short, is perfectly fine in my eyes. They are doing just fine. Get bloody behind them. Ridiculous some folk if you ask me. Huddersfield are a good side, we'll give them a game but they might well beat us too - I hope not but there's a decent possibility. Imagine it on here if they do? Idiotic. How's about we get behind them? Accept we were beaten by a good side, and move on? No, won't do that, because we aren't good enough and it's not fair and if we hadn't sold Conor we'd have won etc etc. Bloody idiots Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Some of the overreacting on here yesterday was unbelievable. If we're poor then say we're poor but the language and tone adopted by some after yesterday's game was way over-the-top.
I wonder what Hecky and his lads think when they come on here? They must laugh their ****** off at some of the hard of thinking who humiliate and insult them, after a defeat against the league leaders with lots of good players and tens of millions of debt and losses. WTF is wrong with some people?
Same as all social media unfortunately, some people are just either extremely negative or just plain thick. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
The only issue I have is the lack of options Hecky had yesterday when he needed to mix it up. That is not a dig at him or any of the players. Having said that, I don't know how Armstrong finished that game. Well, I do. It's because there are no other options. Again, that is not a dig at Hecky. If it is construed that way way then so be it. I'll go into Room 101 wi Hemsie.
I imagine if word of the bbs does get to the squad then they'll realise that there is a good knowledgeable core of fans too that are supporting them fully Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's a constructive and considered opinion about yesterday's match (which I can't comment on because I wasn't there) and the size of our squad. It's not a knee jerk reaction to a rare defeat, like some of the crap I read last night. As you said, it's not a dig at the players or Hecky. It's a view you are entitled to. My post was not aimed at you at all, I think you know who it was aimed at and so do they. If we didn't have defeats like yesterday we would not enjoy powerful victories like Tuesday as much. No team will ever win every match. We've won 14 out of 33, and lost 12. We're 9th in the league with a positive goal difference. We've scored over 1.5 goals per game and only 4 teams have scored more, 2 of which are miles clear at the top. The only reason we're not in the play-off positions is because the top 6 are in such outstanding form (or are plain lucky!). It's one of the best periods in our entire history, and it's a joy to be a Barnsley fan.
We lost to a better side. End of. We weren't disgraced in any way and they didn't play us off the field. They took their chances and we didn't. I was disappointed, but won't chuck my toys out of the pram over losing 1 game. Move on to next week and Huddersfield.
It's just a few fools who jump on the back of the team/club at every opportunity. Pretty tragic really.
I avoided this place yesterday the reactions were stupid over the top but only too predictable. We had a poor window we need to recruit but even with our side before it got dismantled would have struggled against Brighton a team spending money they don't have on players they can't afford. There's no disgrace in it sometimes it will happen. Onwards and upwards
There is absolutely no disgrace in it and hecky did everything he can despite not being backed by the board. He was forced to play the strikers he did yesterday because the board hadn't backed him to sign any replacements after selling our top scorer. I think that while it is unfair to have a dig at hecky for things like that and whilst we have to remember how well we are doing on the whole it is entirely justified for people to complain about just how poor our board was in the transfer window and how that is now having a negative effect on our season. Not on every game but on our season as a whole as it gives the manager zero options in certain areas.
He was forced to play the strikers he did yesterday because the board hadn't backed him to sign any replacements after selling our top scorer. Is that fact or just your opinion? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd say given we didn't sign a striker it's pretty much fact. Of course, we might well have missed out on several
He said he wanted to sign one. We didn't. His assistant is quoted as saying that we were unable to sign a player 'within the club's parameters'. He is also quoted as saying that money turns the OWNERS head
