. . . that they could get relegated. Can't see it happening myself and they've got a few very winnable games coming up now but I must confess I'm following their match day thread and having a little giggle to myself. http://www.astonvilla.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=63816&start=239
I've backed em at 50/1 to go down so long may ther slump continue. Only a tenner mind by it'd pay for 6 pints at Fulham next year
"We bought a bunch of low level rubbish. Went on a shopping spree in Primark and bragged about how much we bought." Oh fck off look where you are in the league compared to us you're the low level rubbish. Cue the usual onslaught I get when I dare to criticise villa.
They wont go down this year just about enough points start over some more likely teams below them. Losing away to Newcastle isnt really a game to draw any conclusions from If they dont get points from Bristol Home and Rotherham away - both 6 pointers then they are in serious trouble but I think another 10 points is probably all they need
I wouldn't because it would make it less likely we get a decent windfall from the two we sold to them down the line. I'd prefer the two with Rotherham to be...... Bristol City: Obvious reasons really. Plus they make a mockery of the rules. Wigan Athletic: Lets see them pay Morsy and others their five figure weekly salaries on league one crowds with no more parachute payments.
So i take it you want sheff weds to get promoted then and winnall to play and score plenty so we get more money?
I've never really bothered looking at Villa's results, until a certain event in January occurred. Since then my laughing glands have been severely overloaded.
No one wants wendy to get promoted. Wed all laugh at wigan going up the **** creek with a wood worm addled paddle
Definitely not and said it on here a fair few times since he's left us. Seems harsh to not want our club to benefit more from a player sale, but needs must on this occasion. No amount of add ons to us could soften the blow of them getting top flight football.
I'm with you on that. Although, I'd only like bristol to go down if little Lee is still in charge. Wigan for the way they've bought success, and have been guilty of looking down their nose at us on the forums, oh and Morsy of course! Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Villa have just bought players because they can. That central midfield of hourihane, lansbury and greaLish is great on paper, but it's a bit short sighted to think it's just going to work, because they're good players and they've shelled out money on a bit of a whim. Hourihane has been brilliant for us and this season he really peaked, but it's disrespectful to scowen and the other lads to think hourihane was our main man so he would just go and do it for villa. Watching them against Newcastle last night they were embarrassing, finishing off with the joke of an own goal from Lansbury, if I was an Villa fan I would be very worried
They had 20 minutes or so last night where they looked fairly promising and could have notched - then they tapered off and at the end it was a practice match for Newcastle. Good job they got points earlier on, because they look shot at the moment.
From what I've seen of them that's the story of their season. Potentially very good on their day but they can't keep it going for any length of time and concede very soft goals. No surprise they're where they are with their performances.
villa will be ok this season ,steve bruce knows what hes doing too so if the owners dont panic id not bet against them getting promoted next year
