    We are looking for a driver for our transporter. 7.5 ton
    Pick up birds from around 5 pm to 10:00 pm Friday evening with Convoyer . The two of you drive down to race point Friday night. Two to Four hours. Sleeper cab. Help Convoyer Sat morning to prepare birds for liberation. Liberate and then home

    Homer, I'm an OAP with plenty of time on mi hands what sort of licence do you need and what do you pay, kept pigeons mi sen a year o'two ago milers though.
    This PM not into that yet.

    Normal car licence. Have you any experience of driving 7.5 ton vehicle pays around £120

    Homer if tha can drive a shearer tha can drive owt.

    Joking apart when I got finished at pit I got a job driving a big Luton Van with one of them tail lifts for council. I'll study about it have a word with our lass and let thee know. ( I'm worrid I might miss match though)

    Homer cross me off your interview list as I am going on Holiday in May for 2 weeks and August for 2 weeks and t'owd lass in't keen on mi doing it, I really hope you find someone.

    7.5 tonne isn't a normal car licence. A normal licence is class B (up to 3.5tonne), a 7.5tnne vehicle needs a class C1 licence.

    If you passed before 1997 you will have C1 as part of your original driving licence under grandfather rights.

    Also because the driver is being paid to transport the pigeons then strictly speaking they should need a CPC but that is a grey area.
