    I'll save you the wait.

He'll tip he French horse in the first - 6/4. Probably advise it in a double with Gleneagles at 8/13.

Then he'll be on Round Two in the Coventry - 2/1 fav. Probably Sole Power too, again 3/1 fav.

Then a couple of darts in each of he handicaps, probably something around 10s - before putting up the American horse in the last.

For what it's worth, I'd be looking for value against some of the favourites, and I'm not too worried to combine two or more per race if I can get 2/1 combined about these (which by implication, I feel to have better than a 33% chance combined):

    2.30 Night Of Thunder/Toormore
    3.05 Air Force Blue/Buratino/Finnegan
    3.40 Muthmir/Sole Power
    4.20 Belardo/Consort
    5.00 Fun Mac/Ray Ward/Boite
    5.35 Soapy Aitken/Steady Pace

Happy to explain my thinking on any of these on request - failing that I'll not bore anyone with my thoughts (which are often wrong!).

    Good Luck all!

I'm torn between Sole Power and the horse I've backed just about every time it runs Muthmir. Also picked out Air Force Blue.

    My picks

    2.30 Able Friend (lump on)
    3.05 Air Force Blue
    3.40 Muthmir/Sole Power
    4.20 Make Believe
    5.00 Fun Mac/Lycidas
    5.35 Orvar

Will also be having some small stakes on some long odds ew (Ravenhoe, Statutory, Belardo, Steps, Beaverbrook, Esoterique amongst my consideration).

Able Friend has the highest rating, P72. It's just a case of whether the ratings people have got an accurate measure on the Asian/Australasian form. Hannon's two ran powerful races in the Lockinge and are both said to have come on for the run. Air Force Blue's Curragh victory was quite striking for a first attempt - particularly given that Aidan's are tending to need their first run. Muthmir is a superstar sprinter in the making, but you have to fear Sole Power on his previous victories in this, and on his Meydan form from March. He tends to turn up on the big day. Gleneagles should win the 4.20, but the value lies in one or two of the others to upset him. I like Soapy Aitken and Steady Pace in the last, but would have to back them both.

It's a fiercely competitive first day, and the favourites look far from sure things. Whatever, it's the greatest show on turf!
