Agreed The show needs fans to keep going. Once the show gets on a stable footing it will grow out of Radio Barnsley. Chris is passionate about it progressing and it's only a matter of time it will happen
How will it ever grow when only 50 can listen, and not through many mobile devices either? People are more likely to get pissed off trying and chalk fook on it.
Ponty72 Far as I'm aware the TuneIn app is available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone so that's mobile covered... The site could use an overhaul (it looks stuck in the early 90's) but politics inside radio Barnsley always prevent that. The 50 limit is an issue but the only times I can remember it being maxed out last season was the first show, when Whitey was on and when we had Mansford and Johnson in from club. Other shows never had the bandwidth issue. So first off, how will it grow?, well sustain the listener volume for one, get podcasts out quickly is another, keep getting fans on is a must. It hits that and Radio Barnsley then choose not to pay for a better package or go to another provider then it's a issue.
The site doesn't mention tunein as an option, or not the Web page I've been directed to before. I've downloaded it now and will give it a go. Is it just Radio Barnsley (Style Council on right now)?
Yes. Because the usual YMCA radio link online isn't accessible via iphone/mobiles etc. So the tunein thing is for that. I think. If you want to make sure you're a listener, I suggest getting on it now, then you're bound to be one of the chosen few (50). But because there's no star guest (like me) on it this week, I doubt the demand will be as massive... That's a joke, that. I'm not really that big headed. Cue forehead joke.
I'm connected and staying connected, unless some force out of my control disconnects me. Dolly Parton on now? Right channel?
