Mr Badger - get thissen theer! We saw Sir Tom at York three weeks ago. Absolute legend. I'd say I hope I'm like him when I'm 75, but FFS, I'd settle for that when I'm 65! The man is as good as he's ever been, and you're in for a treat if you go.

Mr Ponty - The only thing I fancy at Donny is Charlie Appleby's Langlauf [3.15] - but I'm afraid it's not a working man's price (not that I'm a working man, mind).

At Ripon I like Right Touch [3.00] and Fast Track/Don't Touch/Mukhmal [3.30]. Eqleem [4.05] will win.

And by the way, back Swivel in the first at the Rasen. Like finding money in the street!

Be afraid of Mr Varian [4.55] and Mr Fahey [5.25], Ponty. But don't let me put you off!

    Two more to note.

Romsdal [2.35 Newbury] is the class horse in this race and looks to have everything in his favour. Group 1 third last time - now drops to Group 3.

JADAAYIL [1.25] makes her debut in the fillies maiden. RP report Charlie Hills as being "quite excited" by her work ahead of her debut. Entered in the Rockfel Stakes (Group 2) later in the season, and has been backed in to 3/1 favourite for this debut. Noticeable that fellow Lambourn trainer Brian Meehan went all in on this for his charity bet on The Morning Line. Does he know something as well?
