to defend and defend, hoping to send Everton to sleep for 120 mins when we can hope to progress thru penalties?

One small problem with that tho is the fact you are not allowed to pass penalties sideways.

    Is Leejay morphing into Keefy?

It's exactly same football as under Hill, very possession orientated, pretty pass and move football, with absolutely no attacking intent, played at a snails pace that's never going to trouble teams, difference is in this league teams don't have the quality to pick us off and punish us like championship teams did. It's all well and good playing easy on the eye football but it as to be done at a quick tempo, you're wide men need to be tricky and quick with the ball at their feet so up can offer different styles of attack, you need a quick hard working number 10 too, tippy tappy ***** won't break teams down once they've got their banks of 4&5 set up, without skilful tricky players you're pissing in wind trying to play like we are. We need players in the team that can do what's needed for this style, Williams, Harris, and suchlike.

It's boring but better to watch then that out to wing take a touch cross into box headed away and start again ***** we've played for years, it's just the pace and attacking intent that's the problem. It's better to see us on the ball and dictate the pace of the game then the headless chicken chasing shadows **** we've come accustomed to, it's just that the pace we're dictating is dreadfully slow, with quality like Scowen & Pearson sitting mopping up and winning the ball back we shouldn't be frightened to lose the ball attacking teams and shooting, we should have the confidence in our ball winners to keep us in control of games, it'll only come with games and practice, it's a hard style to master but one worthy of sticking with providing they pick up the tempo as we continue to move forward with our new style, we're a solid unit now we should be looking at being more expansive and bring more attacking play into our game. I feel we're going in the right direction but not at the right pace at the moment.

That's pretty much where I'm at too, we aren't that far off, LJ may need to be brave and play 2 pacy wingers, Harris looked like he could be one when fit, Watkins isn't a winger.

Playing a 451 with width and pace out wide with a central 3 of scowen, Pearson and hourihane will be alright
