I hope Mr Cryne and Mansford have taken note of this.

Not 100% sure of this, please check with Box Office but - the qualifying age for concessions was raised from 60 to 65 about 4 years ago. I was 59 at the time so not a happy bunny! However the club did say that they would continue to allow concessions at age 60 to existing ST holders when the change was made. So the following season having turned 60 I got my concession.

A friend of mine, long-term ST holder, turned 60 before the start of last season and expected to have to continue paying full price for another 5 years. I told him what happened to me and to check with the Box Office. He was entitled to, and got, his concession.

To cut a long story short - if you've just turned 60 and had a ST continuously for at least 5 years ask about concessions when renewing.

Yes but don't forget , Barnsley FC have handed all ticketing arrangements over to Ticketmaster, and their stipulation on age is 60.
Therefore should be nothing to do with Barnsley at all.

I intend asking this question when I re-new for next season- thanks

However, as I understand it, for this particular game the football league are selling the tickets and they have decided that concessions apply at 60?

Why does it say over 65s on the Oxford site?

Sorry my reply refers purely to the season ticket concession at BFC, nothing to do with Wembley. In fact I was half-expecting to have to pay full price myself for this game not yet having reached 65.

    Correct.

    Same with my dad.

He turned 60 the year it was increased. However the club said they would honour it. Simply take in birth certificate and they will oblige.

Only reason I had to question it was that they didn't have his DOB on file. They were none the wiser so didn't offer it as they did other ST holders.

It was Barnsley's decision because they allow season ticket concession for over 60s. They thought it was right that the ticket concession for Wembley reflected this

Mansford said on the Radio last night that Oxford decided that the age for concessions would be 65 and we decided upon 60. Well done BFC.

Looks like Oxford are allowing half price tickets for under 17s, where as we are charging over 16s full adult price.

My 16 years olds ticket will be the same price as an adult ticket, but if we were Oxford supporters it would be half price as she is not 17.

I've asked the club to confim this as Oxford's info uses under 17 and ours 16 and under which could mean the same??

Spot on. I got the same treatment. They wanted to increase the concession age to 65, but did not want to upset long term season ticket holders. I have had a season ticket for years but got the reduced rates at age 60. I was upset when they started calling me an old age pensioner mind!
