He'd never played in the Championship before we signed him. He made 101 appearances for us, 91 in the league, scoring twice. He played another 65 games at that level for Blackpool, won POTY there too, as they were relegated. After Morecambe, we're the club he's spent the longest with. Some useless bits of info there for you.
and there was my point i was trying to badly make. perkins had never played in the championship. Our players who havent really either - conor gets "il not hold my breath" scowen is written off as "wouldnt cut it" and brownhill isnt good enough.
Lol, that sums up my footballing prowess as Marc and Dyson would testify.
We'll find out in time. If they can clock up as many appearances as Perkins at that level then fair play. I don't understand the negative things written about Perkins on here.
Had a good two years & a poor final 4 months. If the 4 months had come at the start of his spell with us rather than the end I think he'd be universally popular. I don't get all this bang average & slating him for not creating / scoring goals. That's not his role. I think too many folk let stats rule everything. Go by goals & assists only. I suppose you think Kante's **** too? Doesn't score & doesn't create many chances but a key player for Leicester just like Perkins has been for every club he's played for
Two lads who I know who played alongside him (one laiks for England nar) reckon he was a joy to play alongside and helped them with their games. I **** you not.
