I'm still feeling hopeful for us. Have you seen his twitter? It still says he is on loan to us (despite him being a regular user of twitter so could easily have changed it). His profile and cover picture are of him in a Barnsley shirt, as is his pinned tweet. He also likes and retweets loads of things about Barnsley FC.
Was linked with him earlier in the week and Chris Wilder was asked about him in his pre match press conference.
Send Kent back; sign Isgrove for a few hundred thousand; tempt West Ham to let us borrow Fletcher to "make him a better player for them". Er.....that will do for me. Oh, and keep the rest until the end of the season. NO, hang on - take £5 million off somebody for Bree but he can't leave until Yiadom comes back. That's it.
He also liked a tweet saying "Sam Winnall is a pr1ck". Not sure that means owt in terms of a transfer, but it made me laugh.
Let's give Hecky a bit of leeway here. NONE of us know what is going on inside the club this week. All of the above might be part of the week's agenda, or EVEN BETTER. Who knows?
I honestly believe that the club are not daft and that the sale of Winnall is part of a plan which will become clear in time. If it does, all the hysterical fans at the moment will look a bit daft. If it doesn't, I'll look a bit daft, which wouldn't be the first time.
I don't do hysteria, or flouncing, or threats....or any of that stuff. I just watch my team, whenever I can, just like I've been doing since 1962. It takes more than the sale of a player to change that. Easy come, easy go. Always been that way, always will be. Why get into a state about it?
