Get in glad hammill is playing. A red through and through. The only one of the playing staff who was at rimmos funeral and someone who cares about this club n fans and I'm sure he will come good in this league.
How come he was the only one? I've not seen a full list of past and present who were there but assumed all the current squad would be.
Is that right? Nobody else? Shocked. Hammill loved Rimmo from his first spell at Oakwell. I heard he sought counsel when he had his aggro trouble. I know space was limited at the church. Perhaps he was nominated to represent the current playing staff?
Apparently hecky said earlier on in interview all the players wanted to go but they wasn't enough room at the service..... hammill just went anyway... love him! Just thought I would clear this up!
Great story. On this occasion I fully endorse one of our players not listening to their boss It's a shame the funeral wasn't on Wednesday as then even more will have probably had a chance to turn up with it being the day in the week most clubs seem to have off.
It doesn't really matter if it was Wednesday Thursday or Christmas day when everyone was off work. The family of Norman rimmington requested that people didn't attend the service because there wasn't enough room
