Best wishes to Jeremy but will the Labour Party self implode or rally round him?

    The latter preferably

If Corbyn is such a disaster, why are the Tories so scared?

    Good

For too long it has been argued that there is no choice between the major parties, they're all pretty much the same, which has led to voter apathy. There should be a choice now.

Now real opposition to the Tories.

Jeremy will kick the Red Tories into touch and bring back true Labour values which the Labour party has missed since Blair entered Number 10.

Landslide. First time I've felt optimistic about politics in my adult life. And it's young people that are engaging too.

They're not. Rumour has it that some Tory activists paid their £3 to vote for him. If anybody needs to worry about Corbyn it is the SNP in my opinion.

Then why are the Tory press doing such a hatchet job?

Corbyn shows a new way in politics. I think it's called honesty

Makes politics fun again, but God knows how Labour members thought they lost the last election because they weren't left-wing enough.

Because there was no difference between Tory and Labour.

    Now there will be.

HaHa Not so sure on that one Mario. SNP bandwagon gets stronger every day as the desire for Independence grows. Another 4 years of Tory oppression will go a long way help our cause.

I went along to a listen to Jeremy and he was pressed on his stance of Scottish Independence. His answer was should he become PM he would leave any referendum to Scotland and the Scottish people to decide on how, where and when it will happen.

A lot of his policies actually mirrored what the SNP advocate. The big one being getting rid of trident.

Because his politics make him an easy target for the right wing and independent press. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that now he's been elected and running the party, the advisors and spin doctors will dilute his public image and to an extent his politics. Being a leader and being a 'potential' leader are very different just like being in government and being in opposition.

He's certainly not who I would have voted for but I wish him well, mainly because the country needs a strong opposition.

As a left wing leader, with strong socialist (some may even argue Marxist) values he has to be the best man to reconnect with the disillusioned Scottish labour supporters. I know independence is a primary objective of many voters north of the border but it's not the only policy that will be voted on.

    Good!

Let's show them up for what they are!

If we let people like Maxwell think for us, we deserve what we get.

This election has revolutionised the way people think about politics.

now is the time to move forward.

    In Jez we trust!

I listened to a debate including all four candidates and the most worrying thing for me (and there were a few) was his answer to the question 'as prime minister what events would you see that could justify taking the country to war'.
