How many players were in their side? That's right 10
Where are they in the league? That's right they're relegated
What was your attitude and response? To hide and instruct and lead your team into trying to time waste and pass the ball alng the back four four near enough 15 ******* minutes.

He is the captain on the pitch. He is the one who was crying at the fans again. He is the o e who put less effort than a sloth in today.

 

He worked hard.

I didn't see anybody on the bench complaining that we were p*ssing about with it. Poor effort to single out Hourihane.

 

So the answer is to completely self destruct by stripping him of his captaincy, completely de motivating him and probably making him a complete liability in the process? Go figure. Bit of perspective is required on here tonight imo.

If you're knocking Hourihane for passing it backwards and sideways to the centre halves, then why pick on today? He does it every week, and gets praised for it.

I think you have to hang that last 10 minutes on Hecky. He's got to be in charge of telling them what to do, what attitude they should have.

We should have been at their throats (and this is not with hindsight - the crowd felt it at the time and we all knew what might happen, cos it's Barnsley).

Then you weren't watching all the times he broke up the play, intercepted the ball and tried to get us moving. Much more than two of our more experienced players ...

 

Ive said it for weeks, he should be dropped. He's been beyond useless, to the point its costing us. That little non trick he does everytime he gets the ball slows our attacks down and he usually results in him giving it away. Start Chapman at Wigan for gods sake.

We are bereft of drive through midfield. It is so important. Hourihane and Brownhill provide none.

Either Williams (R) or Pearson would have provided this. I appreciate that this would probably have cost us away points. But at home we've been mediocre for weeks now.
