It's an alternative reality, isn't it? The Axis Powers of the Nazi Reich and the Japanese won WWII. By all accounts, the Nazis got hold of the first A-Bomb and dropped it on Washington, thus defeating the Allies. The USA is now split into two, one half controlled by the Nazis and the other by the Japanese. It's 1962 and both 'sides' want dominance and to eradicate the other. In between all that you have the many characters and their stories within it. As well as the cine-reels of footage from 'the man in the high castle' that show Japan being attacked by the A-Bomb and certain characters able to move from this alternative world into 'our' world where the Allies won WWII. It's a bit of a mind-**** and without spoiling it for others, I can't wait for series 3 where I expect that little plot-device to become more clear. I preferred the second season. They begin to humanise John Smith and Chief Inspector Kido. The last couple of episodes are mental and the CGI used is incredible. You can tell Ridley Scott was involved. If you've watched series 1 then tha daft if tha dunt watch 2. Better, in my opinion. Explains a lot from season 1, adds more depth to certain characters. Julianna Crane is still annoying. Some great twists. But no, I haven't a clue what the time-hopping/alternate reality hopping is about. I assume season 3 will cover that.
What GoT? Me too. Had season 1 dvd for a couple of years but never got round to it. Once I did season 5 was out and I binged like a binging, bingey binger. Just done season 6, 3 times and gone into serious withdrawal...
Watch the 'making of' extra and commentary with Jon Snow. Some serious dragon action too... And then the final scene revelation. Had to go straight back to season 1 after that, looking for plot flaws... There aren't any.
You'd enjoy Vikings then, presuming you haven't seen it. Also The Pacific ,it's a one off series based on true characters similar to band of brothers. Also Marco polo Netflix version.
Seen the making of battle of the bas***ds before its amazing link here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B93k4uhpf7g

Just finished 2000 acres of Sky box set. Lovely bit of gentle escapism from a few years back. borrow it if you like, mate.
If you want something a bit different (and British), try Inside No. 9. I've only seen the first series and the Christmas special so far. Each episode is completely different and very quirky with some good twists.
I watched this after it was posted in my thread similar to this one. I enjoyed it at first but thought it got a bit depressing. Nothing good ever seems to happen to anyone, or if it does it soon turns bad
