Because he's been bloody awful in every game I've seen him play there. He looked ok at left back but at right back chuff me. Then again I thought 3 out of 5 loanees were awful today
Is he actually a football player? The well (no pun intended) is starting to run dry of good recruitment.
Is superman really super? Is batman really a bat? Is Joe 90 really 90? Is theresa may really a prime minister? Is wonder woman really a woman?? Ffs Grow up...
Jones, Kent and Armstrong. James was excellent and mowatt didn't really have enough time to say one way or the other.
I think Hecky put Yiadom at left back because he feels he's a better defender and would do better against Knockeart. I agree he's looked better at left back but don't think he was bad by any stretch of the imagination. Can't remember many attacks coming down his side
What's he actually done wrong? He's not perfect, not as good as Yiadom but is he really any worse than Bree? And as for this 'well', how you can judge properly most of the January signings is beyond me. The only one who's played consistently has been Matty James who looks class. And the same 'well' that found Hourihane, Winnall, Watkins, Yiadom etc. also found Hemmings, Wilkinson, Smith etc. In other words there will always be duds because it's dealing with human beings and no system will ever be perfect. And on my viewings the signings in general look pretty good. As I've said hard to judge them properly yet but they all look good players to me
Was superb against Leeds but struggled since in my opinion. But to be fair to the lad, I can see potential in him but its match fitness and sharpness that are clearly lacking but that will come. If their is option to sign him then play him. Must admit though a few I spoke to yesterday said he was superb must have been at a different game to me. Off the pace, needed to move the ball quicker and stop backing off attackers! But thats why we love this game opinions! Only one stand out player for us yesterday, Matty James. Many were underwhelmed when we signed this lad after long injury lay off and having played little football. But what a talent this lad is. If only we could get him on permanent transfer in the summer, bit sadly his wages would likely prove to be a problem.
Jones is nowhere near as good as Bree. Offers little or nothing go forwards but defended solidly enough. Armstrong seems a poor fit for our style of play and does little or nothing most games. Could be an asset in the right team but that team isn't us. Kent still lacks end product and frustrates but you can't knock his application. James has quality but clearly lacks fitness and needs a creative partner next to him.
Jones looks solid from a distance but as soon as you watch him closely you realise he is actually pretty weak defensively too, he seems extremely slow to turn which means players who run at him go past him like he's not there. Well he is when he plays on the right anyway, he seems far more comfortable on the left which was why I asked if he really is a right back. Armstrong is annoying as hell because it isn't just that he doesn't fit our system, it's his pure lack of effort that frustrates me. Bradshaw is running his ******** off and Armstrong is strolling around for 90% of the game. And Kent puts in a lot of effort in terms of running but he bottles it a lot doesn't he. He has the chance to go past a player but darent run at them in case they tackle him and when there's a 50/50 ball you can be sure he won't win it because he won't challenge for it. He does however put a hell of a lot of effort in running around.
It was always going to be the case when you're plucking kids out of under 23 teams, and sticking them in against the likes of Anthony Knockaert, and Jonathan kodjia, or any seasoned professional at first team standard, but don't worry we're still chasing a playoff place.
