Until Scowen is back fit ?, I don't think we can get away with two central midfielders while our work horse is missing from the engine room against the teams we've got coming up, and I'd like to see us with three in the middle against Huddersfield, Derby, and maybe even QPR. I really love watching us play the attacking 442 we have become accustomed to, but against Huddersfield especially I think we could do with the extra man in the middle due to the absence of Josh. What's your thoughts?
We don't have a striker who can play upfront on his own and what would playing two very similar players in Moncur and Mowett actually give us?
I think a change to 5-3-2 might be more effective given our lack of a striker to play up front on their own.
Davies MacDonald Roberts Jackson Yiadom James Moncur Kent Mowatt Watkins Bradshaw/Armstrong Might work?
The problem with that is I don't think we have 3 good centre backs at the club and we don't have any good attacking full backs (yiadom is a a rock but he isn't the best at making blistering runs) and none of our wingers can tackle
Hammill has played wing back before. I take the point about the lack of a ball playing centre half we should have replaced Mawson by now but haven't.
They've won 6 on the spin in the league. If we stick to 4-4-2 and lose, I don't think it will simply be down to the formation we've played.
Agree with this. Maybe we could try something different but be hard with the personnel we have. The simple fact is Huddersfield have proven to be a better more consistent side this season and it will be a tough game.
I will win the lottery tonight Why will you? Why won't you? We can all do that but at the end of the day what you really should be saying is you MIGHT win the lottery not that you WILL.
Remember we tried this miserable 1 up front idea against Wolves a few weeks ago, and look what happened. Hecky got it wrong that night but I hope he learned a few things from it.
