A penalty means **** all. Only saying that because I wish we would have signed him in January when we let Winnall and Payne go.
Let's have this discussion next season. It's a little bit early to be proclaiming him as the one that got away. There is a chance he'll be playing third division football next season anyway.
Exactly. It's not like those who had doubts over whether he was worth the money are chirping up after the games he didn't score in. Also, as mentioned before, I don't think anyone actually claimed he wasn't good enough. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
Wasn't the odejayi comment in relation to the fact he looked good on a highlight reel? I don't recall anyone saying Bogle was ****. I remember some saying we should sign him for £1m and some saying he was too much of a gamble to spend £1m. Seems a bit early to judge him as a roaring success. Although fair play to the bloke for going to Wigan and already being their free kick taker and penalty taker. Certainly shows the bloke has a hell of a lot of confidence. Not sure if he and Morsy will do well enough to keep Wigan up. Fair play if they do mind. Wouldn't mind seeing Wigan and Bristol go down with Rotherham. Both spending above their turnover should permit. Although Blackburn look set for one of the relegation spots unless they pull a miracle manager out of the bag! More importantly Derby drew and Wednesday Lost. And for that matter so did Reading. Don't rate Reading, Leeds or Wednesday. Could see at least 2 of those, if not all 3 plummet like a stone.
Whats the fascination with this fella. Were we ever in for him? If so, Wigan maybe paying him 3 times what we would anyway. Are we gonna get comments on him everytime he scores, if so, so what. Move on, he aint our player.
That wasn't the argument made at the time. The argument was that it was a very expensive gamble on an unproven player. I wanted us to sign him. But I'm not going to gloat everytime he scores. That's just a bit weird. Sent from space using satellites and things
